"Don't let it fool you about what's inside."
Build Concept
The Kit. Proven. On the Road.
Some cars find the right owner. This one did.
This 1966 Lincoln Continental Convertible spent decades in a covered North Dakota barn. When new farm equipment displaced it and the family decided it was time to let it go, they received multiple offers. They chose DIRRTY CUSTOMS — not because of the money, but because of what we're doing with these cars. That kind of trust doesn't go unnoticed and it won't go to waste.
Project Dust on the Bottle is the official DIRRTY CUSTOMS Godzilla swap kit showcase build. While Project Pangea — our 1962 Continental — undergoes the full ground-up restoration it deserves, the 1966 is on the fast track to a running, driving proof of concept. The body is straight, the trim is intact, and the bones are solid. It's musty and crusty from years of storage, but the right kind of project — one where the work is mechanical, not structural.
The plan is deliberate and focused: pull the factory MEL drivetrain, install the DIRRTY CUSTOMS 7.3L Godzilla swap kit, service and inspect everything that's staying, address what needs addressing, and drive it. Save the paintwork, bodywork, etc. No cosmetic transformation. Just a burgundy 1966 Continental convertible with a Ford 7.3L Godzilla under the hood, documented from start to finish so every customer who buys our kit knows exactly what else they'll need and what to expect.
Don't let it fool you about what's inside.

Swap Components
This build is being documented in full — every part required beyond the DIRRTY CUSTOMS swap kit will be cataloged and published here so customers know exactly what a complete installation requires.
DIRRTY CUSTOMS Godzilla Swap Kit
The complete no-cut kit — engine mounts, transmission crossmember, custom stainless steel headers, full hardware, and installation instructions. The heart of this build and the product being showcased.
Ford 7.3L Godzilla V8
The Gen 1 Godzilla as found in 2020+ Ford Super Duty applications. Massive torque, modern EFI, and a power band that suits the Continental's character perfectly.
Ford 4R70W Automatic Transmission
Overdrive automatic transmission — the same combination proven on Project Pangea and the correct match for the DIRRTY CUSTOMS no-cut kit.
Holley EFI Package
Full Holley EFI engine management for the Godzilla. Clean installation, proper tune, and digital gauge integration to monitor everything the engine needs monitored.
Custom Driveshaft
A properly built custom driveshaft for the application. Not the place to cut corners.
Additional Parts — Being Cataloged
Beyond the swap kit, every additional component required for a complete installation will be documented here as the build progresses — fuel system, cooling, electrical, and more. Check back for updates.
Why we're documenting everything
The DIRRTY CUSTOMS swap kit handles the hard part — the mounts, crossmember, and headers. But a complete swap requires additional components that vary by build. Project Dust on the Bottle exists to answer the question "what else do I need?" with a definitive, real-world parts list. Every customer who buys our kit benefits from this build.
The Story
Where It Came From
North Dakota Estate
A titale from 1985. Parked for decades. This Continental has spent its life with one family in North Dakota — a provenance that's increasingly rare.
Covered Barn Storage
Stored in a covered barn for decades — the best possible outcome for a parked car. When new farm equipment needed the space, it moved outside and the decision was made to find it a new home.
Chosen Over Higher Offers
The family received multiple offers. They chose DIRRTY CUSTOMS because of what we're doing with these cars. That kind of trust carries real weight — and this build is the answer to it.
